Lore Eckelberry is an international contemporary artist based in Los Angeles, California. Her paintings are featured in galleries and private collections throughout the United States, Japan, England, Germany, Spain, Korea, Chile, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico as well as contemporary museums in Japan and South Korea.
Her love of travel and curiosity about other cultures led her to visit many countries; Lore lived in Mexico and Italy for some time and frequently returns to Japan.
Lore’s painting style went from early 20th century inspiration into totally contemporary work. Lore’s spontaneous, explosive paintings exude the artist’s love of expression for strong emotions. Lore’s emphasis on color creates a completely modern and innovative strength in art expression. Lore’s masterful use of color in portraits conveys the inside personality of the subjects she paints, reflecting their inner soul.
We need the energy of art to keep us going. It is very important for a civilization to have enough art to create a strong force of positive energy. A civilization cannot flourish and prosper without enough creation and art.
Van Gogh was an inspiration for me to start painting, and I have never been happier. I would like to serve as an inspiration to others and help them to awaken their inner self and start doing what they have always dreamed of doing.
